Menu Plan Monday

This week I’m cleaning out the pantry, fridge and freezer so I hope that there will not be a run to buy groceries for anything other than milk between now and the end of the week. These are meals that I know we will have this week, just from what I have on hand. Do you keep a well stocked pantry, so that you could eat for several days without running out to get ingredients?

Monday: Hot Dogs, Mac and Cheese

Tuesday: Chicken and Dumplings

Wednesday: Vegetable Beef Soup

Thursday: Grilled Salmon

Friday: Grilled Chicken, Pasta Salad

Saturday: Grilled Hamburgers with homemade buns

Sunday: Fried Chicken, Potato Salad

Of course I will be adding side dishes from things made out of the pantry.  I will use up some of the dried fruits and cereal into Granola Bars. I may even be baking cupcakes, and sticking them in the freezer for a rainy day.  I will add an update next week on MPM, to how I did with emptying my pantry.

Stick around by subscribing to my feed or Facebook “like” page I will be working on a Pantry List, Freezer list and Fridge list, to keep an idea of what we need to keep them well stocked. I’ll be sharing my forms!!

Menu Plan Monday

Does it feel like March in your neck of the woods, cause it sure does feel like it here! Its kinda hard to cook outside because the winds don’t really help with regulating the temp on my grill ya know. I’m ready to cook this week! I want some of everything, but where do I start? I check what I have in my fridge, freezer and pantry. I try to use what’s the oldest (throw out what is out of date of course). I see what days I don’t need to cook, or the kids will be gone. I then add all of these things up into a menu, and any days left, I get input from my family. That’s it!

This is what we’ve come up with for this week:

Monday: Roast, mashed potatoes, roasted carrots
Tuesday: Beef Tips, roasted potatoes, salad
Wednesday: Leftovers
Thursday: Grilled Chicken (if weather permits) salad, homemade French bread
Friday: Chicken Parmesan, Homemade French Bread and salad
Saturday: Date night will be out to eat
Sunday: Chicken and Dumplings

Menu Plan Monday April 26- May 2

We are home from the hospital! YAY! We can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. It’s about time. Scott is still in a lot of pain from the lithotripsy and not eating a lot and I’ve had a horrible migraine for a few days, and missing a filling in my tooth! OUCH! So this weeks menu could change with our health at any moment.

Monday: Chicken Fajita Wraps
Tuesday: Hamburger Helper with garden salad
Wednesday: Grilled Chicken, Corn Casserole and salad
Thursday: Vegetable Beef Soup
Friday: Homemade Pizza (recipe soon!)
Saturday: Roast, mashed potatoes, roasted carrots, mac n cheese
Sunday: Sub Sandwiches

Menu Plan Monday March 1-7

Only 19 days til our wedding! *GASP* We are getting the house ready for d-day and like yesterday, I’m forgetting to start dinner. Its late, we go out, we spend money. I don’t like spending money on food that’s not that great. Well I’ll be planning better this week. I’m going to do some recipes that can be doubled and frozen, or at least buy some new containers for lunch sized portions. I used to be so good at this, but then I wasn’t getting ready for d-day. So here goes…

Monday: Grilled Chicken (and a lot of it!)

Tuesday: Baked Raviolli

Wednesday: Homemade Soup

Thursday: Hamburger Steak, hash brown casserole

Friday: Hot Dogs

Saturday: Homemade Pizza (will make crust and put in the freezer this week0

Sunday: Pot Roast

Happy New Year to all of you from ORG Junkie! Thanks for visiting. I love MPM and try to participate most weeks of the year. I’m going to be focusing on ways to make your home run a little more simple this year, as we are trying to do the same here in our home. I’m also planning a DIY wedding and will be trying out a lot of things before the end of March and asking for a lot of opinions, so stick around and help a girl out!

This week the kids are going back to school on Tuesday from their Christmas holidays. Tuesday is also my daughter Kayla’s 8th birthday. She has asked for cupcakes at school on Tuesday, church on Wednesday and then again at our Girl Scout meeting on the following Wednesday. Menu Plan Monday, Getting a little Healthier

As most of you know, I’m still participating in the Bloggest Loser contest. I’ve lost a little weight and I’m now on a diet prescribed by my Physician. I can still have just about what I want, but as he says my portions should be one third less than normal. That part has been no problem at all! Yay me! Scott is home these days, so I need to keep us all on a healthier diet without everyone noticing. So here are a few things I’ll be trying this week.

Monday: Chicken Noodle Soup

Tuesday: Vegetable Beef Soup (requested by ds12)

Wednesday: Grilled Chicken Salads

Thursday: Pork Tenderloin, steamed veggies

Friday: Cornish Hens, green beans and oven baked potatoes

Menu Plan Monday (Hurricane Ida and Funeral)

This week is full, and I do mean full. With Hurricane Ida likely to hit this evening and the death of Scott’s grandmother, a doctor’s appointment and at least one dental appointment we are busy. Even though we don’t live on the cost, we are close enough tot get the rain and wind, which means the possibility of not having power for a few days is always there, so we prepare for the worst.

So this week I’ll plan to grill, smoke and use simple things for our menu. If you have any ideas, please let me know.

Monday: Smoked Turkey Breast with leftover mac and cheese.
Tuesday: Grilled hamburgers with chips.
Wednesday: If the weather permits, we will buy Pizza because of the funeral or we will be eating with family or at church.
Thursday: Meatloaf with mashed potatoes. This can be cooked inside or out, but I may mix it up today in the pan and freeze it.
Friday: We will have 5 kids for dinner, so we will have something easy like hot dogs because of possible football game that night. If we stay in, we will be popping popcorn and having a family game night.
Saturday: Roast, potatoes and carrots.
Sunday: Leftovers.

Menu Plan Monday (Balanced Reward Meals)

If you read often, you know that I’m on this Carb Addicts Diet. The weekends are really putting a stick in my spoke so I’ve decided to plan the whole weekend, which I don’t normally do. I want this to be 1/3 veggies, 1/3 protien and 1/3 carbs. I can’t really go wrong, but I’m not a big veggie person so I have to stick with that.

Monday: Hamburger Steaks, Salad and rolls
Tuesday: Chicken Pot Pie, Salad
Wednesday: Pizza, Salad
Thursday: Vegetable Beef Soup, a small slice of Chocolate Poundcake
Friday: Grilled Chicken, grilled green beans, salad and Chocolate Poundcake
Saturday: Meatloaf, green beans, salad, Pouncake and or candy
Sunday: Smoked Turkey Breast, Mac N Cheese, Salad,

Menu Plan Monday (Protien, Protien, and Salads)

I’m on this diet, and well Saturday I got off of it, and if I don’t start eating more veggies (aka. salads) I’m not gonna lose any more weight, so I thought I’d do a lot of protien and salads this week, don’t you love when someone uses commas way to much to keep from using a capital letter and a period? :)

Monday: Grilled Chicken Salad

Tuesday: Smoked Boston Butt, salad and potatoes

Wednesday: Pizza and Salad

Thursday: Turkey Salad

Friday: Chicken Salad

Whew that was hard! lol!
