Bloggest Loser Update 2

Photobucket

I hope everyone is did well this week. I’m very proud of myself. I worked out twice, I know that my goal was a bit more. I say that any workouts are better than none.

I lost 4 pounds this week and 1 last week so that’s a total of 5 pounds! I’m excited. What have you been doing you may ask? Well I’ve been doing the Carb Addicts Diet

My daily menu has looked a little something like this:

Breakfast: Ham and Cheese Omelet
Lunch: Grilled Chicken and a nice big salad.
Snack: Cheese Stick
Dinner: Grilled Chicken, Salad, Rolls and brownie for desert with sweet tea.

My reward meal (dinner) has included those things that I normally wouldn’t eat on any other diet. I’ve had more veggies in the last week than quite some time. I’ve had less sweets than in forever. I’m not having as many cravings for sweet things. I’ve been drinking my 4 bottles of water daily and only a couple bottles of flavored water all week. Its great knowing that my favorite foods (bacon, cheese and chocolate) because they are not off limit in this diet. I’m getting my carbs that I love, and the protien that I love too! Ha! I’m happy! I’m loosing weight and well I’m happy!

So anyways I’m saying a lot of YAY ME’s! I hope to say a lot more over the coming weeks. This seems like something that I can do. That’s a big thing for me. If I can’t stick with it, its not a life change. Now on to cook a late breakfast. Have a great week Bloggest Losers!

**UPDATE** I have posted this weeks menu.

Menu Plan Monday: Bloggest Loser

I’ve joined the Bloggest Loser and I’m looking for healthy recipes, and better alternatives for the ones that I usually make. I’ll be getting lowfat cheese, and other “good for you” alternatives to substitute in my recipes.

Monday: Chicken Pot Pie

Tuesday: Grilled Chicken Packets

Wednesday: Vegetable Beef Soup

Thursday: Taquitos for me, Nachos for the kiddos

Friday: Chicken Parm from Hungry Girl

Do you have any go to recipes or substitutes that you’d like to share? I hope so, because I really need them!

Weight Commander and Bloggest Loser Update

I just wanted to give you a great link that I found  long time ago to keep track of your weight. Weight Commander is a great little program that I’ve been tracking my weight with daily. I get up in the morning and potty then weigh myself, come straight to the computer and enter my weight. The thought behind this is to get immediate results from how I did the previous day. Michael owns Weight Commander and he will give you your own web address for your front page. The site is free for 5 days and after that he asks for a donation.

Some of the features that this great little program offers are :

  • Today’s good idea
  • Shopping List
  • Great Snack ideas
  • Michael on… (his thoughts that relate to weight loss)
  • Diary
  • 30 Days  (Where you write a guess or goal to reach in 30 days, and Weight Commander Tracks it daily)
  • Carb Counter
  • Point Counter (For all of you Weight Watchers peeps)
  • Calorie counter
  • Panic Button (yes you read that right!)
  • Birthday Tracker (It will help you will see)

I’m loving this simple little online program. I plan on using it daily to track my weight, goals and even my Birthday! Thanks this Michael!

As far as how I’m doing, I worked out yesterday for 15 minutes. This morning I’m a little sore, but not anything bad. Billy Blanks isn’t going to kill me yet! I drank 8 glasses of water, but still need to up that to 10 or more. I had nothing but water and milk to drink yesterday, but did have leftover spaghetti, brownies and PB&J. Today is a grocery trip, and I hope to bring something home that will not be quite as bad. The brownies and spaghetti are both gone, and the PB&J are put away. I’m not sure what I will eat this morning yet, but I’m starting with a bottle of water.

The Bloggest Loser

I stumbled across the Bloggest Looser weight loss blog today.  One of the things required to join this blog is to write about your weight issues.

I’ve never really been skinny or anything like that, but when I was a teenager I was a lot smaller. I know, all teens are smaller than adults right? I have no problems with being larger than others, but I do have a problem with finding clothes that fit, finding anything in a normal store to wear and my energy level.

I made a pact with Scott last week before everyone got sick, to work out. The plan is the One Nail an Hour plan. This is where for every hour I workout, I get to have one of my nails “did.” I love having my nails done because my nails are so brittle that its hard to keep them in decent shape. Scott loves to treat me so this will work out for both of us.

I will be using several different methods for my workouts.  I have several things planned, and will vary  my workouts. I have a yoga dvd, Billy Blanks: Ultimate Bootcamp
, and this Luscious – The Bellydance Workout for Beginners
. I also plan on walking and jogging. My goal is to workout at least 30 minutes a day to start, and try to go up to an hour a day.

So now everyone say goodbye to the BIG Christi!

Me being sexy! lol!
