13 fun things to do when you get engaged

I’m trying not to stress over wedding plans yet, but its hard not to. So I’ve come up with a list of fun things to do when you get engaged.

1. Jump up and down screaming your lungs out, because you never thought it would really happen.
2. Call your mom and try to be calm about it, even though you are really doing #1 on the inside.
3. Tell your kids, only to find out that they are so happy that they are doing #1
4. Watch every wedding show that you can find on tv, then realize that there is a whole Wedding Channel and beg your newly betrothed to get it for you.
5. Start calling your future husband your groom, and he calls you his bride or Mrs. Polka Spot.
6. Practice the Wedding March, until you almost wet your pants on the way to the bathroom.
7. Listen to every song you hear with a different ear and ask “Should we play that at the wedding?”
8. Talk to your best girlfriends about this favor and that invite sending texts and emails back and forth constantly.
9. Have your mom get an iPhone so that she can learn to do #8
10. Have lunch with your mom, only to realize than she is doing #2
11. Dreams of the Honeymoon dance in your head.
12. Tell all of your friends on Facebook, and read all of the well wishes from your loved ones.
13. Fall asleep on your fiance’s shoulder, knowing he is the one and then he kissed you goodnight.
