13 Things I didn’t know before I became a Girl Scout Leader
I'm in a contest to win a Bag Makeover. I really need this since Chocolate melted in my bag and I haven't been able to replace it. Please vote for me!!! It only takes a second! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
Yep, I’m a Brownie leader and yep its taking a lot out of me.

- 24 little girls can all say “Boo!!” in a very shrill voice that can cause a migrane for the troop leader.
- There are a LOT of trips to make.
- Camping with no electricity is possible in November.
- At every meeting the Daisies give you more hugs than you can count.
- They also ask you 563213685 questions.
- Brownies are so much more mature than Daisy Scouts.
- My daughter is very calm.
- Scout Leaders not only donate their time, patience and money, they take away a lot of love.
- There is a sign that all Girl Scouts recognize that makes them shut their mouths and listen.
- Girls are really made out of Sugar and Spice.
- It can cost a lot to be a Leader.
- That I could control and enjoy 24 little girls in the same room.
- My name is now officially known by half of the school as Miss Christi, just like if I was an adult or something! ha!

We did scouting for a couple of years. Mostly it was about the cookies.
I only made it as far as one season….as a Brownie.
LOL
Mine is posted…HERE You'll need to scroll down below my Thursday Thunks Meme answers to find my THIRTEEN.
Have a TERRORific Halloween.
loving #1!!! Happy tt!
I was politely asked to leave Brownies but I still support the Girl Scouts; I even have my own “connection” for cookies every year, she never fails to track me down for my usual order, one case of Thin Mints
Seriously, though, it takes a lot of time and patience to be a Scout Leader, you deserve a lot of thanks.
What a fun post! I was a brownie for only one year, but my daughter has been bringing up scouting lately…….it might be time for me to start investigating this……just not the leading part, I will leave that to you
Happy TT!
Boy I recognize that handbook from my daughters days in Brownies! Those little girls are lucky to have someone to look up to that cares for them enjoy your time as leader!
Brings back memories! I was a leader of my daughter's brownie troop. Luckily I had only 12 girls. Lots of fun.
*giggle* I totally want to have another girl. My only girl is now 15 and I miss those little girl days! I came over from MBC and will be back!
It's kind of like being a teacher. It is the only job in the world that you have to spend money to do well!
LOVE the name of your blog – of course, before I came to visit, I thought it was 'Polka's Pot Farm!' Ha!
I'm following you from the MBC Under 100 Club. I look forward to reading more!
These are so true, I was a leader for my daughter's troops Daisy's through juniors. Fun but holy cow! I have a blog award for you. It can be picked up here:

I was a Brownie. Your blog is very nice. I stopped over from MBC.
