13 Things I didn’t know before I became a Girl Scout Leader
I see you've been here before, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting! I'm in a contest to win a Bag Makeover. I really need this since Chocolate melted in my bag and I haven't been able to replace it. Please vote for me!!! It only takes a second!
Yep, I’m a Brownie leader and yep its taking a lot out of me.

- 24 little girls can all say “Boo!!” in a very shrill voice that can cause a migrane for the troop leader.
- There are a LOT of trips to make.
- Camping with no electricity is possible in November.
- At every meeting the Daisies give you more hugs than you can count.
- They also ask you 563213685 questions.
- Brownies are so much more mature than Daisy Scouts.
- My daughter is very calm.
- Scout Leaders not only donate their time, patience and money, they take away a lot of love.
- There is a sign that all Girl Scouts recognize that makes them shut their mouths and listen.
- Girls are really made out of Sugar and Spice.
- It can cost a lot to be a Leader.
- That I could control and enjoy 24 little girls in the same room.
- My name is now officially known by half of the school as Miss Christi, just like if I was an adult or something! ha!

Oatmeal, not just for breakfast anymore.
When you start looking around for something to help your skin, you often find a lot of ingredients that can be found in your kitchen. Lately I’ve found more and more containing regular old oatmeal. One use that I’ve been trying is to take a little oatmeal and throw it in your food processor or blender, then pulverize it until its a fine “flour”. Now add about a cup of this to your bathwater if you have any itchiness or use about a tablespoon with just enough water to make a paste. Take this paste and exfoliate your face. It won’t dry your skin and feels wonderful.
Need a quick mask? Use a package of unsweetened instant oatmeal with a little warm water. Slather all over your face and neck. Wait 5-10 minutes and rinse. I haven’t tried this yet, but plan on it later today. Most of my winter skin and facial products contain oatmeal these days because of my eczema. I know this will be a cheaper route for me to go.

Menu Plan Monday (Balanced Reward Meals)
If you read often, you know that I’m on this Carb Addicts Diet. The weekends are really putting a stick in my spoke so I’ve decided to plan the whole weekend, which I don’t normally do. I want this to be 1/3 veggies, 1/3 protien and 1/3 carbs. I can’t really go wrong, but I’m not a big veggie person so I have to stick with that.
Monday: Hamburger Steaks, Salad and rolls
Tuesday: Chicken Pot Pie, Salad
Wednesday: Pizza, Salad
Thursday: Vegetable Beef Soup, a small slice of Chocolate Poundcake
Friday: Grilled Chicken, grilled green beans, salad and Chocolate Poundcake
Saturday: Meatloaf, green beans, salad, Pouncake and or candy
Sunday: Smoked Turkey Breast, Mac N Cheese, Salad,
Bloggest Loser Update #5
Last week…ahhh…well I’ll put on my big girl panties and admit it. I cheated, a lot. My numbers were down half a pound until I left to go out of town. I don’t even want to talk about it. So I’m starting over. Lots of water. Plan to walk or exercise in some way daily. I’m gonna stick to my diet. I’m gonna do the Entry plan for 2 weeks to see how it goes. I really want to lose more money to fit in one particular dress (hopefully a size or two smaller than normal) this spring.

I’m going to be playing around with some recipes for my “diet meals” and my reward meals are on my menu this week. Yes I’m going to plan for the weekend also because that’s when I get all messed up.
I hope everyone else had a great weekend and I’ll check in again next week.
